How I Edit My Instagram Outfit Of The Day Pictures!

I get questions all the time about how I edit my Instagram photos, especially my outfit of the day pictures, so I thought I'd show you how with some high-tech-gif-action.

When taking pictures, the key is to take lots of them! I usually choose the best two or three and delete the rest. 

after choosing my first picture, I usually use the app 'afterlight' to adjust the exposure, saturation, etc.

After adjusting, I like to use the app picfx to add cool effects. You may have noticed that almost every single one of our pictures on Instagram has little "dots" or "bokeh" This is what app I use to add those! I also usually use the "pfx film 5x" or "pfx film 5" to give the picture a softer look.

I love using the bokeh effect because it's basically glitter for your picture...and who doesn't want that?!

If the picture is not square {which it usually isn't} then I use the app "square ready" to make it fit the Instagram square. It is great because you can make it as small or large as you want!

Then it's ready to post and for you to see!

Stylespiration: Cobalt Blue

Sorry for the lack of posting for almost a month, but I'm afraid my camera is broken!! You may have noticed the difference in sound quality in out videos, and that is because Lauren had to borrow a camera for filming. so lets get on to the post.  Recently I have been loving the color cobalt blue. It has been a major trend this year and I can see why because it is simply striking! So enjoy these pictures that I thing are simply fabulous!

Rainy Fridays.

Where have you been?! I know, I know, I haven't posted in almost ten days! so sorry about that, but I've been so busy this past week! Ive had southeastern swim meet and trying to get my driver's permit. but today has been a nice calm day. I woke up at a well deserved 4:00 today...yes four pm. And it was raining.  I love rainy days. they are so calming, so cozy, perfect to lounge around.

I decided to get the mail, which is over a quarter mile from my house, is my "workout" for they day. Hey, it's uphill okay!

I'm glad I walked in the rain, because my backpack came today! I switched the neon orange elastic for my sister's old gray one. 

{haul preview} I was going to film a haul today, but because it was raining the lighting was horrible!

So that means watching Top Gear and hot tea!

I have been drinking Harney & Sons tea recently, and I love it. This particular one is very sweet.

Peachy Pineapples.

Lately, I've had an obsession with pineapples. As you probably know {unless you live under a rock} pineapples have been a HUGE trend this spring and summer. The pineapple sweater that I have had since 2011 proves that I have always had a thing for them, but now I'm like "YAAS PINEAPPLES" and everyone is ok with me wearing a shirt emblazoned with the sassy fruits. So...enough chit chat!

This is the tank version of my beloved j.crew pineapple tee, so its perfect for those 96 degree days.

I've paired it with mint chinos and chunky jewelry.

A Wonderful 4th Of July Weekend.

Hi everyone! I'm back. {and back to Wifi} I'm sorry if this isn't necessarily a fashion post, but I wanted to do a Weekend recap so that I can Remember this great time, and so you can know what I did! :) 

We travelled all the way to the top go signal mountain in chattanooga, TN to attend an amazing party in a gorgeous house.

My aunt always throws great parties, and this was nothing different. It was filled with great food and of course, FIREWORKS! {and sparklers, my personal favorite}

 Well stocked, as you can see.

I was able to get a rare picture of Rob actually smiling. 

And the child complains about her hair...

Taking selfies with a real camera is harder than you would think.

My cousin and I wrote our names in sparklers, which is actually wayyyyy more difficult than you would think!

 This is what happens when you let the teenage boys set off the fireworks.

After the party we moved down to my {different} uncle and aunt's hunting lodge with all of my 

 uncle's err...trophies. 

 The next morning we went exploring on the atv's and the gator. {which I drove} 

 the path was very rocky and bumpy and muddy, but it was worth it once we got to "amanda falls" named after my cousin.

After we got back from that we played a bit of badminton before dinner.

 After dinner we hung out on the screened porch and roasted marshmallows on the campfire.

Overall this was a great weekend!
